Manager, Project Finance — Renewable Energy
A growing clean energy platform is seeking a Manager, Project Finance to lead and support the financing of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the U.S. This role is central to managing project-level financing activities, including financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction execution for both new developments and acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage complex financial models for solar, wind, and storage projects.
Support debt, tax equity, and tax credit transfer financing transactions from diligence to closing.
Prepare investment materials and economic summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze project documents (PPAs, financing term sheets, IE reports) and integrate key assumptions into models.
Collaborate with development teams on financing strategy for early-stage projects.
Mentor junior team members and coordinate with external financing partners.
Contribute to internal strategic and ad hoc initiatives.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in project finance, corporate finance, or investment banking within the renewable energy sector.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (advanced formulas, model structuring).
Deep understanding of renewable project economics and tax incentives (solar, wind, storage).
Experience with tax equity structures (partnership flips, inverted leases) and back leverage debt.
Skilled in creating marketing materials (teasers, CIMs) and managing data rooms.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
