Job Summary: The Finance Associate is responsible for assisting with internal and external financial reporting, capital raising and investor relations, and will report to the Senior Finance Associate. The Associate may support all team members within the company, including the CFO, CIO, COO, and Chief Accounting Officer, on an as-needed basis and with all aspects of the company’s business.
This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our San Diego office. Onsite in San Diego is required 4 days/week - Monday through Thursday.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Assist and maintain the company's financial model, including portfolio-level cash flow analysis and financial forecasts to support strategic initiatives
• Develop and prepare quarterly financial supplements, investor presentations, and other materials for investor relations purposes
• Support investor outreach initiatives and relationships with research analysts to enhance the visibility and understanding of the company's financial performance and strategic initiatives
• Analyze capital market transactions, including debt and equity offerings, prepare offering memoranda, and coordinate due diligence processes with external parties
• Provide in-depth financial analysis to senior management
• Prepare presentations to the Board of Directors and senior management team
• Assist in supporting acquisition activities throughout the transaction process
• Provide other support on recurring or ad hoc projects as needed
Job Specifications / Work Experience / Skill Requirements:
• BA/BS in real estate, finance, economics, accounting, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience is preferred in commercial real estate, finance, accounting, or a related industry; investment banking experience is a plus
• Experience in modeling real estate transactions and corporate financial analysis with an understanding of real estate fundamentals
• Organized and task oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple deadlines, and adapt readily to changing priorities
• Ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely in oral and written correspondence, reports, and presentations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to self-review work
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to handle constructive feedback
