Feed Specialist and Stocker

Job Description

We are seeking a Feed Specialist and Stocker to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for stocking and maintaining the livestock feed and pet food departments in order to drive company revenue.

Responsibilities:

Salesmanship: recommending products based on our customers' unique situations

Assists customer with taking their purchases to their car as needed

Stock, rotate, down stock, and price livestock feed and pet food. Assess what feeds need to be stocked in correct spot. Communicate out of stocks with manager and feed buyer. Use FIFO method to stock and rotate feeds.

Technical Skills: Forklift, electric pallet jack, pallet jack, feed dolly; cutting keys, rope, chain, welding cable, etc.

Product Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of feed products, supplements, etc. Actively increases knowledge through attending training and reading product information.

Follow rotation (FIFO) and stacking procedures for different types of merchandise

Department Cleanliness: Tape up broken bags and relocate to broken feed bag area. Notifies Pricing Specialist to price. Regularly removes empty pallets, ten skids, feed dollies, pallet jacks, trash, and ladders before leaving department.

Cashiering skills as needed

Welcome and identify customer needs

Accurately sell items by scanning UPCs and other methods of looking up products

Properly authenticate paper money and accurately count back change
