Role Overview:
The Digital Asset Coordinator will serve as the principal steward of digital asset organization, governance, and optimization for the Marketing Creative Services team. This position is critical in ensuring that all brand and campaign assets are systematically cataloged, accurately tagged, accessible, and compliant with licensing requirements. The coordinator will drive the evolution of the Digital Asset Management System (DAM) and partner with internal teams and external vendors to improve asset discoverability, streamline workflows, and uphold brand consistency across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily administration and long-term strategy for the Digital Asset Management System (DAM).
Ensure consistent application of metadata standards to enhance asset discoverability, aligning with marketing and brand goals.
Oversee the full lifecycle of image and video assets, including selection, ingestion, and archiving within the AEM DAM.
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the DAM platform—providing training, system support, process documentation, and testing of improvements.
Create and maintain a scalable, intuitive naming convention framework for all digital assets.
Monitor and enforce asset licensing restrictions and usage rights, including expiration tracking.
Serve as the primary liaison for asset requests from internal departments (marketing, content strategy, development) and external partners.
Coordinate and manage a wide variety of assets: internally generated and campaign photography, stock media, logos, videos, design elements, and more.
Research and propose enhancements to metadata strategy and DAM search functionality.
Identify, evaluate, and help implement emerging tools and technologies to modernize asset workflows and content operations.
Required Qualifications:
5–10 years of professional experience managing digital assets, ideally within a marketing or creative services environment.
Strong working knowledge of Digital Asset Management systems (preferably AEM or similar platforms).
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and file taxonomy best practices.
Proficiency in metadata management, digital rights tracking, and content lifecycle management.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Self-starter with analytical thinking and the ability to take initiative on workflow improvements and process automation.Company Description
