Welder/Fabricator

Job Type: Regular Work Schedule: 6am – 2:30pm.
Work Location: Fabrication Department - Santa Ana, CA Additional as required.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Welder/Fabrication position requires skillful, efficient, quality custom fabrication within demanding scheduled time periods. The candidate must have strong communication & problem-solving skills, be able to read & interpret printed CAD Drawings and be able to accurately measure, cut and detail materials. The candidate must be effective with time management and work area organizational skills.
POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
Proficient in various weld processes, GMAW, GTAW.
Experience welding various materials: Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Titanium.
Ability to read, understand, and work with engineering drawings.
Perform simple mathematics, be familiar with fractional and decimal measurements and effectively use and understand measuring devices.
Be adept at performing Quality Control on finished products, ensuring that they meet specified performance standards and tolerances.
Be detail oriented and have ability to fabricate quality parts/ structures within specified dimensional tolerances.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and pivot between different projects as necessary.
Ability to work well with others and be a team player.
Be self-motivated, self-starting, and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Flexible schedule, ability to work overtime as necessary.

Education and Experience
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent or technical school.
Experience:
At least 5 years metal fabrication experience
Experience in manufacturing
Knowledge of aerospace processes

· Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five pounds on a repetitive basis.
· Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours.
· Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing, and pulling materials.
· Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
· Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position such as working at a desk on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
· Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.
· Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Required Safety Glasses
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires an on-site presence. The majority of the work is performed on the production floor, requiring standing for long periods of time.
