Job Overview

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is looking for a Bakery Supervisor for Casey Cupcakes. The bakery provides fresh cupcakes to its stores daily. We are looking for an experienced Baker of cupcakes and cakes with decorating experience. The Baker will have the following skills and education.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the Bakery cleanliness

Follow all regulations of HACCP procedures

Planning and organizing the work load

Knowledge of safety regulation and the ability to train employees in safety.

Assists in the development of new products and designs.

Prepare baked goods in accordance with portion and quality standards as specified in recipes.

Control food and beverage usage to minimize waste. Assist in tracking production, consumption and waste of all baked goods produced.+

Perform other duties as needed which may include but is not limited to producing centerpieces for banquets and buffets.

Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include Retail Stores, Riverside.

Clean and/or break down work station and complete closing duties including transporting dirty pots to the pot wash station, sterilizing and cleaning cutting boards and work tables, and preparing station for the next day's activities.

Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, safety and health standards. Inspect the sanitation, operation and cleanliness of all tools, equipment and supplies, including ovens. Alert management of potentially serious issues.

Keep work station organized, including proper use/storage of tools, equipment and supplies.

Requisition supply items as needed from storerooms; assist in receiving items and taking inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Fluent English language

High School or equivalent diploma

Supervision of 1 to 3 people.

Must be able to work the early mornings, weekends and holidays

Two years experience as a Baker.

Understanding of food safety practices

Excellent time-management skills

Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment

Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude

Flexibility to work in early morning shift, weekends and Holiday such as Festival of lights.

Additional Information

Decorating of cupcakes and cakes

Experience with mixing cakes and frostings
