Job Description

Overview:

As a Specialist I in our Sample Management Lab, you will support the daily operations of sample processing and act as a subject matter expert on systems like Beaker/Labware, Insight/iPulse, and Sentry. You will handle job log-ins for North American labs and assist the manager in maintaining performance and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Train staff at global Client labs on Sample Manager and Sentry systems.

Mentor new and existing Sample Management employees, including basic and advanced system training.

Review and quality check job log-ins, especially for new employees.

Log in and manage lab jobs, including editing test codes and descriptions.

Create test codes used in lab systems.

Support and lead Lean process improvement initiatives.

Help track performance, schedule work, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues.

Perform other related duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Technical computer training and database experience.

Strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).

Ability to work independently and complete assignments.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field.

Experience in lab or Client service environments.

Familiarity with LIMS systems.

Background in microbiology, chemistry, engineering, or environmental health.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

Light lifting (10–25 lbs).

Work Environment:

Office-based, smoke-free environment.

Travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
