About the Role

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a skilled Splunk Engineer to support a mission-critical program in Annapolis Junction, MD. This on-site role requires a combination of Splunk System Administration and dashboard development expertise. The right candidate may be considered for a hybrid DevOps/Splunk role, depending on skill set.

You will be responsible for managing Splunk clusters, supporting upgrades and system migrations, and using scripting tools like Python to automate data extraction and visualization. This is a high-impact opportunity for cleared professionals who thrive in dynamic technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Splunk clusters and related infrastructure

Perform upgrades and IAVA support

Execute API data calls and log extraction from servers

Develop dashboards and presentation materials using Splunk data for COR-T

Lead CentOS7 to RHEL8 system migration and support AWS cloud transition

Manage the following Splunk architecture:

• 3 Search Heads

• 4 Indexers

• 1 Master Loader

• 1 Load Balancer

• 2 Forwarders

Qualifications & Requirements

U.S. Citizenship Required

️ Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph Required

Education & Experience:

7+ years of relevant professional experience

Strong experience with Splunk System Administration and dashboard creation

Proficient in scripting languages (Python, etc.)

Experience pulling data from tools via REST API

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Familiarity with DevOps environments

Experience migrating systems to AWS

Background in briefing technical content to stakeholders
