Pay Rate: $20.00–$26.53/hr

Hours:1st shift: 6:00am – 2:30 pm OR 2nd shift: 2:00pm – 10:30 pm

Location: Onsite - Cypress, CA

Duration: 1 year

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for precision machining tasks, ensuring adherence to close tolerances and specifications. This role requires expertise in using a variety of machines and measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities

Machine parts to precise dimensions, maintaining close tolerances, concentricity, and parallelism.

Select appropriate speeds and feeds based on material type and finish requirements.

Utilize shims, wedges, parallels, blocks, supports, and other holding devices to ensure proper alignment and avoid tool or part damage.

Use precision measuring instruments to inspect in-process and finished parts for compliance with blueprint specifications.

Perform tasks requiring lifting up to 40 lbs and be available for overtime or shift adjustments as needed.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

2+ years of machine shop experience operating mills, lathes, and similar equipment.

Fundamental understanding of machining methods, precision tools, and metal cutting characteristics.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of machining experience, including manual and CNC operations on mills, lathes, and grinders.

Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Technical certificate from a trade school.
