POSITION TITLE: Seasonal Transfer Station Employee Customer Service

DATE OF CLOSING: Open until filled

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Solid Waste Facility Manager

HOURS: Flexible hours; 8-24 hours per week for up to 6 months. Transfer Station hours of operation 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. - Noon.

JOB PURPOSE: Under the general supervision of the Solid Waste Facility Manager. Main duties will include customer service in the scale house.

STARTING WAGE: $15.14 hour

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer service. Characterize incoming waste and direct customer on proper disposal and unloading location. Assist in weighing, unloading and record keeping.

Carryout customer payment transaction.

Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Good customer services skills.Ability to communicate with staff and public in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to accurately perform cash transactions and multi-task.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Eighteen years old or older. Current valid MN driver's license.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Work is medium to heavy, involving lifting and carrying objects weighing over fifty pounds. Manual dexterity and motor coordination are required for the variety of jobs performed.
