Leasing Consultant
Position Summary:Â
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for responding to inquiries/leads from prospective clients to identify potential renters, market, lease, and renew apartment leases in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines and provide excellent customer service. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customers. Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.Â
Essential Functions:
Responsible for ensuring the daily marketing, administrative, and financial operation of the property under the direction of the Community Manager. Â
Maintains a strong understanding of the community and local market competitor's specials and floor plans. Have comprehensive working knowledge of all aspects of leasing units and documents in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines. Â
Processes lease application paperwork for the approval of the CM and prepares new lease contracts. Â
Inspects all target and/or show units in advance and in preparation of greeting and touring new prospects. Touring prospects may include, but is not limited to, vacant or model units and common/amenity areas of the property.  Â
Inspect pre-leased apartments prior to the move-in date and promptly communicate any concerns to the Service Manager or Community Manager.Â
Understands, utilizes and promotes all third-party online leasing programs appropriately. Â
Ensure timely and accurate logging of all prospect information and notifications into our Property Management software.Â
Responsible for checking, responding to and documenting community and individual emails, voicemails, and text messages.Â
Stays up to date with all promotion/leasing incentives. Â
Assist with completing Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist (MOVIC) accurately and within the specified deadline per Company standards.Â
Post notices to vacate and other community communication, if applicable.Â
Assist with daily community inspections to ensure community policies are being followed and addressing, if applicable.Â

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
Previous experience in a customer-facing/customer service role Â
Demonstrated sales and closing skillsÂ
Excellent organizational and communication skills Â
Ability to work with a diverse group of people Â
Where required by law, must have state leasing license or ability to obtain the required license(s) within the timeframe required by lawÂ
Â
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (work schedule may vary). Some overtime may be required and ability to work extended hours including â on-callâ and/or participate in a rotating â on-callâ schedule as needed to meet business needs.

Full range of motion with upper and lower body. Continual movement including, but not limited to:Â standing, walking, bending, stooping, crawling, and climbing stairs.
