Maintenance Tech

Our client, a leader in the Animal Nutrition industry, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the production team supporting the efficient operation of the premix plant. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully with the organization's goals.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Ames, IA

Pay Range: $22-28/hr

Mon-Friday occasional weekends as needed

What's the Job?

Oversee and maintain mechanical production operation equipment to ensure efficient production.

Coordinate activities within the premix plant to achieve timely shipping of products.

Implement effective maintenance programs to minimize downtime due to equipment failures.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including DSM SHE and ISO 9001.

Train and mentor personnel to uphold good manufacturing practices and operational excellence.

What's Needed?

High School Diploma or equivalent; Trade certification preferred.

Minimum of three years of related experience in feed mill or premix production.

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and operational systems.

Proficient in using computer systems and maintenance documentation programs.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to safety standards.
