**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform repairs on heavy and light-duty trucks. You will be responsible for engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake system maintenance, and electrical system troubleshooting. Your role will include utilizing advanced computer diagnostic tools to identify issues in diesel engines and trailers, conducting thorough DOT inspections, and performing regular maintenance checks.

**Responsibilities**

+ Repair diesel engines on heavy and light-duty trucks, including engine overhauls and transmission repairs.

+ Maintain brake systems and troubleshoot electrical systems.

+ Utilize advanced computer diagnostic tools to identify issues in diesel engines and trailers.

+ Conduct thorough DOT inspections to determine the root cause of mechanical problems.

+ Perform regular maintenance checks, including oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks.

+ Repair and maintain various equipment throughout the facility, ensuring all tools and machinery are in good working condition.

+ Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.

+ Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair needs, provide cost estimates, and ensure customer satisfaction.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proficiency in diesel engine repairs and maintenance.

+ 5+ years of experience with diesel engines, Class B vehicles, and trailers.

+ Proficiency in using computer diagnostic tools and interpreting technical manuals.

+ DOT certification for repairs on diesel mechanics or trailer repair.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience in trailer repair.

+ Ability to conduct DOT inspections.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
