ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Shall mix and serve alcoholic drinks to all bar patrons and Cocktail Servers (Main bar, banquet bar, service bar, and special events).

Shall collect money for drinks served and make change for Guests.

Shall clean and sterilize glasses and bar equipment on continual basis.

Shall replace empty beer kegs; replenish wine units, liquor bottles, soda units, and beer coolers.

Shall be responsible for keeping a safe and clean environment of the bar area.

May assist in training other workers, as Bartenders are needed.

Shall order or requisition liquor and supplies in accordance with good judgment.

Shall be responsible in making out daily shift checklists.

Shall be responsible for the check and audit of the till’s receipts for the shift and be responsible for dispensing of said receipts to the proper authorities.

Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Menominee bartender’s license must be obtained within the first 45 days of employment. EDUCATION

High School diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE

Three (3) months of bartending experience in a high-volume Casino, Bar or Club operation – required or 6 months working within the Hospitality field.

Shall have knowledge of POS system to ring up sales.

PREFERENCE

Preference given for individuals with a valid Bartender’s license.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 20 years of age or older.

Shall be responsible to participate in a Certified Alcoholic Beverage training program (i.e. TIPS) within 45 days of hire.

Shall obtain a Bartenders license within 45 days of hire and responsible to maintain the license.

Must be able to work unusual hours, which includes days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Candidate must be of good integrity, honest and trustworthy.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

An applicant who has been previously employed by the MCR/TC shall successfully pass a review of work history including attendance.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

No person shall be eligible for employment at Menominee Casino Resort/Thunderbird Complex if they have been convicted, or have a pending unresolved charge of:

Any crime which would require compliance with the reporting requirements for sex offenders pursuant to Menominee or Wisconsin law; or

A felony conviction of any kind in the immediately preceding two years.

A crime of any kind related to gambling in the immediately preceding two years.

A crime of any kind related to theft, fraud, or misrepresentation in the immediately preceding two years.

A crime of any kind related to a crime of violence, or involving, or involving domestic violence, or a drug offense involving sale of drugs, or possession with intent to sell drugs during the immediately preceding 2 years.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to use basic math skills: addition and subtraction to be able to give proper change Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draws valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
