HOURS/STATUS: Full Time (40 hours per week), some early evenings

Under the direction of the Dean of Student Services, this individual will have the following essential job duties and responsibilities:
Advise students based on program requirements, academic and financial aid guidelines, and test results
Schedule students in a timely fashion according to program planning grids
Work closely with academic program directors to address student issues to positively impact persistence and graduation rates
Achieve persistence and conversion goals for the respective programs
Monitor attendance and grade reports and follow up with students, program director, financial aid, and/or admissions
Initiate and provide ongoing guidance to students whose grades, attendance, and/or personal barriers put them at risk
Build and nurture ongoing relationships with students and other departments
Coordinate 3-4 student activities per semester such as Student Appreciation, Student Engagement and Student Recognition events
Assist in leading registration campaigns to encourage early registration, book orders, etc.
Assist in coordination and participation of new student orientation each semester
All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications/Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree is helpful.
Previous experience working with college aged students in an educational environment is helpful
Exceptional customer service, active listening, and collaboration skills
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to maintain and report on student data and adjust plans quickly, as needed
An outgoing, approachable style and a passion for helping students succeed
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and lifelong learning
Ability to function effectively as part of a team to meet overall campus goals
Available to work required hours to meet needs of programs and students
Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with diverse student body in a career college environment
