At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $64,792.17 and $76,130.58. This position has an annual target bonus of 5%.

Review and validate weekly payroll for hourly employees, ensuring compliance with both federal/state guidelines and company policies.

Reconcile payroll tax payments and prepare timely filings for federal and state authorities.

Post journal entries and support month-end close tasks such as accruals and variance analysis.

Manage and resolve reconciling items through proactive coordination with internal teams.

Collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate 401(k), HSA, and other third-party file submissions.

Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries with care, clarity, and professionalism.

Maintain payroll systems, assist in troubleshooting Kronos, and respond to internal help tickets.

Generate reports for the Department of Labor, internal bonus tracking, and audit support.

Contribute to cross-training efforts and serve as a backup for Payroll Coordinator and Specialist during absences.

Assist with training staff on timekeeping tools and support process improvements.

Participate in testing and implementation for payroll projects and system updates.

Partner with HR, Accounting, and Tax teams to ensure a smooth escheatment process.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

A bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

3+ years of hands-on payroll experience in a business or shared services environment.

Familiarity with payroll and timekeeping systems like Kronos or similar platforms.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

The ability to work a weekly 3/2 (office/home) hybrid schedule.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

A masters degree in accounting, finance, or a related area.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential.

Experience with SAP Payroll systems or large enterprise platforms.

Comfort with creating ad-hoc reports and working across cross-functional teams.
