Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic
Job Description
Join a dedicated team tasked with performing modifications and heavy maintenance on various aircraft types including Dash8, King Airs, Gulfstream G4, and Boeing 737.
Responsibilities
Shoot and buck rivets to specifications.
Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength and thickness.
Perform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices.
Remove existing rivets from aircraft structure.
Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials.
Perform repairs to the aircraft and determine which repairs can or cannot be made.
Read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion, following both written and verbal instructions.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years of sheet metal experience on any aircraft.
FAA Airframe license required.
4 years of aviation experience in installation, fabrication, repair, depot maintenance, modifications, and heavy maintenance.
Proficiency in aircraft modification and sheet metal techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred experience on Dash8, King Airs, Gulfstream G4, or Boeing aircraft.
Possession of all tools on the minimum tool list, with tools etched with a unique identifier and toolbox shadowed.

Work Environment
Work in a hangar environment within an MRO setting. Employees will adhere to production schedules and complete work cards within designated time frames. The company values unity, enthusiasm, proactive urgency, constant innovation, and safety. Work schedules include 4x10 shifts: Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, 6:30am to 5:30pm, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Bridgewater, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
