Job Title: Project Controls EngineerJob Description
This role is responsible for providing project management and controls support to program and project leadership across a variety of programs and projects. The role involves documenting and capturing the project plan developed by program and project leadership, monitoring and measuring performance against the plan, and reporting on key data metrics back to program and project leadership.
Responsibilities
Provide project controls support to project teams.
Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring accurate timelines and resource allocation.
Support program and project leadership in collecting progress and performance updates and updating schedules to reflect actual progress and changes.
Track and monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts for assigned programs and projects.
Prepare cost reports and financial analyses.
Help identify project risks and support the development of mitigation strategies.
Maintain risk registers and ensure timely updates.
Create and distribute project status reports and performance dashboards to program and project leadership.
Support the development of project metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track progress and performance.
Essential Skills
Broad experience in five areas of project controls: Planning/Scheduling, Risk Management/Mitigation, Estimating, Change and Trend Management, Performance Reporting/Data Information.
Experience in broader facets of project management.
Experience in engineering projects that are complex and require detail-oriented documentation.
Program management.
Estimation, design, trend analysis, planning scheduling, risk management.
Proficiency in estimating software and cost analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Basic understanding of engineering documents and ability to derive quantities from them.
Basic software application skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience utilizing industry-known best practices in planning and scheduling, cost management/estimating/analysis, risk management and mitigation, change management and trends, and performance reporting.
Experience using software packages such as Primavera, MS Suite, Deltek Costpoint/Cobra, Active Risk Manager (ARM), Crystal Ball, @Risk, Acumen, WinEst, PowerBI.
Certifications like PMP are a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $177000.00/hr.
