Reporting to the owner, the foreman will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction activities on job sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budgeting guidelines, while leading onsite crews, working with subcontractors, reporting progress to the project manager(s), and ascertaining that all work and activity adheres to plans, specifications, and quality standards.

Essential Job Responsibilities

On-site presence at construction projects, often in outdoor environments and under varying weather conditions. (Regular travel to different job sites will be required).

Supervise and lead day-to-day operations of construction crews and subcontractors.

Coordinate tasks according to priorities and project schedules.

Read and interpret blueprints, project drawings, and specifications.

Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Monitor site progress and provide daily reports to the Project Manager.

Maintain job site cleanliness, organization, and compliance with OSHA safety standards.

Order and manage delivery of materials, tools, and equipment needed for the project.

Resolve on-site issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.

Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks with crews.

Communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.

Track and report labor hours and productivity.

Assist with site layout, framing, concrete, or other trades, depending on the scope of work.

Essential Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred.

5+ years of experience in the construction industry with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of general construction practices, methods, and safety regulations.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Physically able to lift 50+ lbs., stand, walk, and work in various weather conditions.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
