Job Summary:
The Mold Room Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and assembling all AVEVA BFS equipment molds. This role oversees the administration of mold inventory control and the preparation of required reports. Additionally, the specialist controls and maintains spare parts for all AVEVA BFS and process equipment, and oversees the administration of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), inventory control, data collection, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, clean, and assemble AVEVA BFS equipment molds.
Oversee mold inventory control and ensure accurate reporting.
Manage and maintain spare parts for AVEVA BFS and process equipment.
Administer departmental SOPs, ensuring compliance and updates as necessary.
Collect and analyze data related to equipment maintenance and inventory.
Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing SOPs.
Proficiency in Business English usage, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Experience with basic computerized inventory warehouse systems.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts.
Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Experience:
Two (2) to five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in inventory control, mechanical, and electrical parts.
Two (2) years of experience with assembling BFS molds.
One (1) to two (2) years of experience in computerized inventory systems.
Work Environment:
This position may require standing for extended periods and handling heavy equipment.
The role involves working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
