Urgent Care Provider - FNP or PA

We are a fast-paced and dynamic urgent care clinic that provides high-quality and affordable medical services to our community. We are looking for an urgent care provider who can diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and perform minor procedures.

As an urgent care provider at our clinic, you will:

Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and obtain medical histories from patients

Diagnose and manage common urgent care conditions such as infections, injuries, allergies, asthma, etc.

Prescribe medications and therapies according to evidence-based guidelines and protocols

Order and interpret laboratory tests, x-rays, EKGs, and other diagnostic studies

Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, incision and drainage, etc.

Educate and counsel patients on health promotion and disease prevention

Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals to ensure optimal patient care

Document patient encounters and follow up in electronic medical records

Maintain current knowledge and skills in urgent care practice

To be considered for this position, you must have:

A master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program

A valid state license and certification as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) or physician assistant (PA)

A current certification in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS)

At least two years of experience as an FNP or PA in an urgent care or similar setting

Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
