Sterile Processing Tech - Full Time Variable Shifts

Here’s What You Need

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

1 year of sterile processing experience preferred

CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician required within 2 years of hire or

CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution required within 2 years of hire or

CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician required within 2 years of hire

HSPA – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician preferred

Detail oriented and strong understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols

What You Will Do

Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label. Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays. Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/tray.

Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the Cenistrac system. Demonstrates decontamination process according to policy and procedure. Cleaning of instruments manually and using automated cleaners.

Performs tests and documents as directed to ensure proper operation of washers.

Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method. Effectively utilizes infection control concepts. Effectively handles all chemical and cleaning agents used for cleaning, decontamination and sterilization of instruments and equipment.

Monitors supplies as necessary.

Are you passionate about patient safety and meticulous sterilization processes? Join our innovative and supportive team, where advanced technology meets a commitment to excellence in sterile processing.

Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday with occasional on-call weekends. Shift assignment will be determined at the time of hire (Days shift or Evening shift).
