Position Summary
As Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in expanding Tier4’s footprint by identifying new customer opportunities and building trusted relationships across a variety of industries. This role involves prospecting, local outreach, event participation, and brand engagement to attract and convert new clients. The role is a great fit for a self-starter who thrives in both face-to-face and online environments and is passionate about helping organizations succeed. In addition to business development, this role will contribute to the evolution and execution of our sales strategy by helping define the roadmap for how we reach, engage, and convert new clients to drive long-term growth.
Responsibilities
Proactively identify and connect with new business prospects through onsite visits, outbound calls, emails, social media, and networking
Represent Tier4 Technologies at businesses and community events, chamber meetings, and trade forums to build visibility and credibility
Qualify and manage leads, schedule consultations, and work closely with technical staff to build tailored proposals
Collaborate with leadership on outreach campaigns and educational events
Build and maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities and pipeline status
Meet or exceed outreach and sales goals through consistent activity and follow-up
Stay current on technology and cybersecurity solutions, market trends, solutions, and industry updates
Oher duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven experience in business development, sales, and lead generation with commercial mid-market accounts, government and education.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting in person, via phone, and online
Strong and professional presence on social channels, specifically LinkedIn, and willingness to engage in professional networking and content sharing
Ability to confidently engage with business owners, executives, and decision-makers
Experience attending or organizing local events and building grassroots brand awareness
Familiarity with CRM tools and proficient in general sales process documentation
