Legal Assistant

The team at Collins & Lacy, P.C., in Columbia, South Carolina is looking for a qualified Legal Assistant to join their civil defense team in an immediate opportunity. The ideal candidate should be experienced, self-motivated, and demonstrate the ability to manage a large caseload and work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should also have the capability and understanding to anticipate, prioritize, and execute tasks to help our firm meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.

Requirements

2+ years of litigation or legal assistant experience

Excellent typing and transcription skills

Experience with large litigation cases

Ability to work closely with our attorneys

Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook

Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills

Experience with a case management system

Additional Qualifications Preferred

Experience in handling several attorneys and working on fast moving cases

Experience working with ProLaw

Experience working with insurance companies
