The Director, Streaming Strategy & Ad Tech will participate in leading development and execution of strategies to maximize ad revenue across all Versant digital endpoints and facilitate reporting of digital revenue performance. Additionally, this role will be a main contributor in efforts against development of ad products, and relationship management across key constituencies including Versant cross-functional leadership, NBCU sales and AP&O teams, and both internal and external tech/enablement partners.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the Executive Vice President of Ad Sales and Vice President of Ad Sales Monetization in driving strategic initiatives and optimizing revenue performance across digital and linear platforms
Play a critical role in shaping monetization strategies, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering cross-functional collaboration
Collaborate closely with the Executive Vice President of Ad Sales, and Vice President of Ad Sales Monetization on key focus areas:
Revenue tracking and performance analysis
Inventory and capacity utilization insights
Client and category mix evaluation, including target tracking and analysis
Marketplace analysis across Upfront, Scatter, and Programmatic
Financial modeling, forecasting, and revenue tracking
Development and refinement of core reporting and analytics processes for digital revenue
Support NBCU sales partnership by aligning with Digital, Planning, and AP&O leadership teams
Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners (e.g., DSPs) to support digital content distribution strategies
Liase with Versant content leadership to identify and lead innovative, incremental revenue opportunities and ad product development
Coordinate with Versant Operations & Technology and NBCU Ad Tech & Operations to ensure alignment on systems and Ad product development
Develop and articulate a clear point of view on the evolving digital marketplace
Support strategic initiatives for Fandango and Sports Next, identifying synergistic opportunities to drive incremental revenue across all Versant assetsQualifications
A minimum of 8 years previous relevant work experience; this could include media experience at a tech, network, streaming company, professional services (e.g., consulting, investment banking), or corporate strategy/finance.
Strong PowerPoint skills and proven proficiency summarizing information and analyses into coherent and concise slides.
Proven quantitative analytical abilities, including Excel modeling skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; the ability to present results of complex analyses clearly.
Excellent organizational, time and people management skills and the ability to work in groups and independently.
Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior level execs across Corporate and Network Leadership
Organic desire to continually learn about and stay up to speed with industry trends and new areas of revenue growth
Passion for diving into complex concepts, defining value propositions, and collaborating with other business lines on long-term growth strategies.
Ideal candidate is a proactive individual who possesses the ability to take initiative and perform analysis and other tasks with minimal supervision, including the ability to deal with competing priorities effectively, and work efficiently in a high-paced, results-oriented environment.
Ability to develop strong relationships with across all levels of the organization.
BA/BS a plus.
Additional Requirements:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
Salary range: $130,000 - $200,000 (bonus eligible)
