POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for overall construction schedules, budgets, subcontractor quality, community appearance, interim QA walks, safety.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Understanding OSHA Compliant Construction Activities and enforcing compliant actions of workers and subcontractors; bottom line, keep our project and its workers SAFE.
Assist with Site Work management, meetings, schedules, projections, etc.
Knowledge of Rough Carpentry and General Construction, related to Single Family
Ability to read and understand construction plans, specification, details, layouts
Ability to lead by example when necessary
Tour projects and identify inferior/incomplete work
Monitor & pre-approve variances when needed
Ability to manage multiple projects, and manage labor crews
Ability to schedule and manage material shipments, including verifications
Schedule & supervise daily trade partner activites in accordance with job schedules & business partner scopes of work
Oversee the construction, inspection & scheduling of the entire home using forms, plans and procedures
Manage multiple subcontractors' activities in multiple homes
Inspects & ensures that work is in compliance with City/County/State requirements and building codes
Conduct preconstruction meetings with vendors, and others as required before start of project
Approve vendor payments weekly as work and deliveries are completed
Manages Assistant Construction Managers within your team
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
College Degree preferred but not necessary with equiviliant experience
5-8 years construction experience with supervisory or project oversight experience
Must possess organization skills by keeping daily schedules current
Must be able to read and understand blueprints to maintain quality control & inspect all aspects of construction

Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate
