Brake and Alignment Specialist

We are currently looking for a dedicated, skilled Field Technician who takes pride in their work, which includes: interior & exterior grounds maintenance, trash removal-including the use of compactor, snow removal, and other maintenance duties as assigned. The Field Technician must have a valid driver's license and is required to drive a company vehicle. Our Field Technician position is FULL TIME, First Shift, $17-$18/hour with paid training, room for growth, with tools & uniforms provided, and eligibility for the benefits listed below:

Field Technician responsibilities:

Driving company vehicle to multiple sites

Manage work orders via iPhone app

Trash management, including the use of a compactor

Moving trash and recycling bins in and out on specified days

Litter/trash collection in exterior and interior common areas

Gutter cleaning

Pet station maintenance

Leaf blowing

Salting walkways

Provide support in moving furniture, appliances, etc. as needed

Ability to work independently

Positive, collaborative team player

Other duties as assigned

Field Technician requirements:

Valid driver's license

Field Technician/Porter/Grounds experience preferred

Work independently to complete assigned tasks within given timeframe

Written and verbal communication skills

Ability to interact with residents of varying ages and backgrounds

Ability to pass criminal background check and motor vehicle reporting

Ability to meet physical requirements:

The position is considered to have moderate to heavy physical demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to climb up to nine feet on ladders, work in overhead structures, walk, stand, twist, stoop, bend, squat, and kneel at least 90% of the workday. The employee will occasionally be required to lift, carry and/or move in excess of 100 pounds and frequently be required to lift, carry and/or move in excess of 50 pounds during the normal course of a workday

Maintains exterior areas and common spaces of properties to Uptown Rental Properties high standards. (65%)

Completes daily work orders in a timely, cost-effective manner. (20%)

Responds to emergency weather events to ensure resident safety. (5%)

Note: 10% of time is reserved for other tasks and interruptions. Essential Functions:

Acts as a professional on-site representative of Uptown Rental Properties.

Collaborates with team and communicates effectively.

Reviews service issues with Field Supervisor and completes tasks, requesting resources as needed.

Handles recurring maintenance (e.g., grounds, cleaning, snow removal).

Assists with heavy lifting or large projects.

Tracks work orders and property conditions using company software.

Monitors and reports new service issues.

Uses company resources (vehicle, tools, etc.) responsibly. Performance Factors: Self-management, accountability, teamwork, flexibility, planning, problem-solving, goal achievement. Physical Demands: Moderate to heavy; requires climbing, lifting (50+ lbs), and working outdoors 90% of the time. Work Environment: Residential setting; exposed to local weather; PPE may be required.

Compensation details: 17-18 Hourly Wage
