We are looking for a skilled Assistant Controller to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. Responsibilities:
• Oversee inventory reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with operational and supply chain teams to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Develop and implement efficient processes to streamline financial operations and reporting.
• Manage and refine budgeting and forecasting activities, particularly related to inventory management.
• Drive improvements in cost accounting and standard costing practices to enhance financial decision-making.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring data integrity and alignment with organizational goals.
• Support process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency.
• Provide guidance and leadership to direct reports, with plans to grow and manage a team in the future.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and DCAA requirements.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Proficiency in cost accounting, standard costing, and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems and tools such as Concur.
• Experience with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and billing functions.
• Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of DCAA compliance and auditing practices.
