Job Description

The role involves operating carbonate conveying or hydroxide packaging equipment to package Lithium hydroxide in bags, drums, and supersacks per customer requirements. This position supports production and customer delivery needs within the Salts Area.

Responsibilities

Monitor processing and auxiliary equipment to predict or detect malfunctions, then either repair or submit a work order notification for repairs.

Draw samples and submit them for quality control testing.

Update the computerized Safety Incident Management System (SIMS) database with incident details.

Ensure proper packaging and labeling per customer and regulatory requirements.

Inspect and maintain safety equipment while ensuring high standards of housekeeping in the packaging department.

Operate forklifts to move material to and from the packaging area.

Operate forklifts, power tools, and specialized equipment as outlined in SOPs.

Follow RCRA, SPCC, and Hazmat rules, and instruct others to do the same.

Participate in safety meetings and programs to raise safety awareness.

Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.

Actively participate in the plant Hazwoper program.

Complete all transactions in SAP through keyboard entry or barcode scanning.Essential Skills

Ability to lift 50lbs consistently.

Experience in operating sit-down forklifts.

Background in manufacturing packaging.

High school diploma or GED.Why Work Here?

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bessemer City, North Carolina.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $21.25/hr.
