The Shipping Clerk is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shipping department. This role ensures that all shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and procedures. The Shipping Lead will manage a team of shipping associates, coordinate with other departments, and maintain a safe and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities: Pick order and process them by completing any required paperwork, locating items in the warehouse, moving them to the packing and shipping area Make sure all orders and inventory are accurately tracked Pack orders and prepare them to be shipped Must inspect the items to ensure that they’re not damaged or missing any parts, package them according to specifications and transport them carefully as needed to bring them to packing stations Compare picking ticket to items being shipped Adjust shipping ticket accurately and back order items not being shipped Use various shipping software programs; such as UPS Worldship and Fed Ex Ship Manager, to process orders Must have vast knowledge of shipping processes, order adjustments, and order cancellations Inventory check and count Warehouse storage organization and cleaning Loading & unloading trucks Ability to handle/lift 50 pounds is necessary. Ability to use and operate a forklift. Some assembling of products. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Detail-oriented problem solver who can think quantitatively and notice defects and errors quickly When problems arise, must be able to act quickly and decisively In order to be successful, you must have great communication skills and ability to work as a team member with a wide variety of people in the supply chain Have basic mathematical abilities Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills Be proficient in basic computer applications Be able to stand for long periods of time Be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
