We are seeking a Security Operations Analyst to help us safeguard sensitive health data and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Position Summary
The Security Operations Analyst will play a critical role in the protection of our infrastructure, systems, and data. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented security professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience in healthcare or regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and incidents across networks and endpoints.
Investigate security breaches and assist with incident response activities.
Collaborate with DevOps and IT to ensure security best practices are followed across all systems.
Manage and tune SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management platforms.
Support HIPAA, HITECH, and SOC 2 compliance efforts.
Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and security reviews.
Maintain and document security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity or security operations (healthcare experience a plus).
Familiarity with security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners).
Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST, SOC 2.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent.
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Prior experience in a health tech or EHR-focused company.
