Emergency Room Assistant

Pay Range: $17.97 - $27.86 The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants.

Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts.

* High school level of knowledge.

Previous experience or graduated from a Nursing Assistant or EMT program preferred.

* BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire or transfer.

* Licensing: Proof of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from an approved institution or training program preferred.

* Unless otherwise indicated, one year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification required * Works effectively with others, possess tact, discretion and diplomacy * Ability to work under stress and complete duties, sometimes with numerous interruptions.

* Must be able to communicate information to supervisor and co- workers.

* Must be familiar with equipment used to move patients and take vital signs.

* Ability to understand printed health related material.

* Completion of hospital based Internship which includes coursework and clinical time up to 6 weeks along with proficiencies demonstrated in competencies for phlebotomy and EKG.
