Job Overview:
Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a full-time Lead Solar Technician. This position involved overnight travel. The Lead Solar Technician must have the ability to work safely at high quality with electrical & mechanical components, issues and concerns.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Perform a full range of diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and oversight of issues that may arise at a solar farm across the US
Ability to diagnose a full range of solar service issues
Provide outstanding customer experience
Ability to travel using own vehicle or in company owned vehicle
Participate in staff meetings and assist with broader company initiatives
Provide daily reports
Effectively use hand and power tools
Effectively use a laptop and a variety of programs/applications
Learn and understand basic low voltage electrical systems
Operate machinery/equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, backhoes, rock drills, jack hammers, compressors, generators, winches
Troubleshoot technological issues
Clean, maintain, and inventory company owned tools/equipment
Contribute during the planning phase of the project by performing regional research and outreach
Act professionally in remote areas, on active construction sites, or in the office
Think creatively and encourage open-mindedness
Continually drive self-improvement and motivate excellence in coworkers
Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures
Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Drive long distances in heavy work trucks, often with trailers in tow Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years working with solar operational farms
Knowledge of all major solar and energy storage products
Training on top tier inverters a plus
Journeyman electrician preferred, NABCEP or similar certification preferred
Must be highly organized and punctual
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have a valid drivers license and pass cdl background check and physical
Must have the ability to work though issues and troubleshoot safely
Accommodate frequent travel -- 75% of the year / 3 weeks per month
Work as a member of a small team, as well as independently in the field
Must be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: standing, stooping, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time. Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
Lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
Lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
Sustain prolonged exposure to extreme weather and environmental conditions Benefits:
