For over 35 years, PACO Group has led Construction and Project Management for complex projects across the region. We are now preparing to support the Manhattan Psychiatric Center and Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center modernization projects on Wards Island-upgrading building systems, life-safety infrastructure, and patient-care spaces to strengthen resilience, ensure compliance, and elevate care for New York's most vulnerable residents. We seek seasoned professionals skilled in stakeholder coordination, schedule and cost control, and field oversight to help deliver these critical improvements safely, on time, and on budget.
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager with more than 10 years of experience in building and infrastructure construction, including the successful delivery of large-scale new construction and rehabilitation projects totaling over $15 million.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in all areas of construction management, including contracts, construction documents, budgeting, and project controls. This role requires strong leadership in the field, with the ability to manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full project lifecycle from planning through close-out, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards.
Manage and implement established project controls, including budgeting, cost tracking, and schedule oversight.
Provide on-site leadership in safety compliance, quality control, and construction sequencing.
Coordinate with design teams to resolve field conflicts and ensure design intent is maintained.
Administer and oversee the change order and cost review processes.
Review and approve contractor payment applications in accordance with contract requirements and project milestones. Required Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in building and infrastructure construction.
Proven success managing large-scale projects valued at $15 million or more.
Full working knowledge of contract management, change order processes, budgeting, cost controls, and payment review.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
A degree in civil engineering, architecture or construction management is required. All candidates must hold one or more of the following credentials: Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), or Project Management Professional (PMP).

Hourly Rate Range: $60 - $70 per hour, commensurate with experience and credentials.
