POSITION: STUDENT ASSISTANCE COORDINATOR - LTR
(Long-Term Replacement)
QUALIFICATIONS :
Valid New Jersey Student Assistance Coordinator (SAC) Certificate.
Ability to identify and address student substance abuse, mental health, and behavioral problems.
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, administration, parents, outside agencies, and community groups.
Demonstrate capacity to organize support groups and coordinate community services.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assist students at-risk for drug and alcohol abuse, violence, bullying, depression, suicide, stress and anxiety disorders, as well as other social/emotional issues and related issues.
Provides counseling, follow-up/possible on-going counseling and referral services to students regarding prevention/intervention efforts and related problems.
Provides crisis intervention services for student/staff as needed.
Maintains professional growth regarding applicable laws and policies and contemporary knowledge of the latest developments by independent research and attending conferences and seminars as approved.
TERMS OF
