Middleby Marshall is excited to present an outstanding opportunity to be part of our team as a Design Engineer. This role is critical to the success of the Engineering department, while also working closely to support Middleby Marshall’s Operations and Technical Service Departments.

Job Summary: Within a team environment, independently manage Engineering design projects from conception through completion, including new products and the support of legacy products in a lab environment.

Key Responsibilities: Project management, mechanical and electrical design, system design, component specification evaluation, vendor selection, prototyping, lab testing, agency approvals, Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs), factory support, service support.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

· BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred with some electrical knowledge)

· +5 or more years of experience in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and design

· Experience in sheet metal design is preferred

· 3D & 2D CAD experience – design modeling and drawing drafting in SolidWorks

· High working knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles

· Experience in project management – able to keep projects on task from concept to completion

· Ability to be hands-on – prototyping and identify improvements for function or manufacturability (DFM)

· Experience in a lab environment – proven ability to perform RCA testing to support new and legacy products
