This position is available within the University of Maryland’s Division of Information Technology (DIT).
The Workday Reporting Analyst supports the University of Maryland (UMD) Workday Enterprise Services team by collaborating with University stakeholders to maintain the reporting domain and subject areas. Specifically, the Reporting Analyst designs, builds, and supports testing of Workday reports using Studio, BIRT, PRISM, dashboards, and other Workday reporting tools. The Reporting Analyst provides knowledge of current reporting business processes and systems and identifies configuration, data, and system requirements to support future state business processes. The Reporting Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for reporting and helps coordinate a cohesive solution design.
Specific duties for this role include:
* Analyzes reporting requirements and translate into Workday report specifications
* Designs, builds, and tests reports using Workday’s robust reporting toolkit
* Develops reports following standard guidelines and according to the requirements in the design documents
* Communicates the process of design, build, test and deployment of reports
* Drives defect analysis and resolution and implements enhancements
* Utilizes Workday migration tools to migrate reports across tenants.
This position is considered essential and may be required to work at the normal work location or an alternative location during a major catastrophic event, weather emergency, or other operational emergency to help maintain the continuity of University services.

* Experience developing reports in a modern enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
* Experience with student information systems
Licenses/ Certifications: N/A Minimum Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Experience: Two (2) years of professional experience with technical analysis, design, and implementation and experience in querying and analyzing data.
Other:
* Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
* Advanced business and systems analysis skills
* Detailed understanding of ERP System concepts and general module functionality
* Effective communication skills – including the capability to listen to the needs of others, research and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations
* Demonstrated ability to handle a high level of activity under various conditions and constraints, pay close attention to detail, and maintain a high level of organization while working independently under minimal supervision
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve operational and system issues
* Ability to work as part of a team and with members of other functional/technical teams to identify action items, team member responsibilities, etc. Additional Job Details : Please note that all positions within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) have an in person component with expected time in our College Park, MD location per week.
