In this role, we are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with a strong background in firewall migrations, routing & switching, and cloud networking. This role requires hands-on experience working directly with customers, leading network security projects, and implementing best security practices. The ideal candidate has a stable work history, has worked as a consultant, and has served as a lead engineer on complex deployments.

Essential Functions of the Network Security Engineer:

Migrate from Cisco, Checkpoint, or Fortinet firewalls to Palo Alto or Cisco Firewalls.

Design, configure, and troubleshoot routing and switching environments, with deep expertise in BGP.

Implement network security best practices, ensuring robust firewall deployments.

Engage directly with customers, providing technical leadership and hands-on implementation.

Work independently or as part of a multi-skilled team to deliver security solutions.

Provide consulting expertise, acting as the lead engineer on security projects.

Collaborate with cloud teams to support Azure, AWS, or GCP networking environments. Preferred Experience of the Network Security Engineer:

Active or past Cisco (CCNP/CCIE) or Palo Alto (PCNSE) certifications.

Strong background in firewall migrations (Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet Palo Alto or Cisco).

Deep understanding of BGP, routing, and switching.

Some experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to work with customers onsite.

Bonus Experience of the Network Security Engineer:

Experience with Cisco Nexus 8K, 5K, and 2K configuration, Cisco FirePower Threat Defense Appliances

Prior experience working as a consultant or have worked as a Lead Engineer on projects

Strong at understanding Security principles and best practices as it relates to deploying firewalls

Experience with Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS, GCP)
