This role will play a crucial part in managing multi-state union payroll processes and ensuring accurate payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing Excellence: Oversee processing weekly multi-state union payroll and semi-monthly payroll for non-bargaining employees, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.

Union Payroll Reporting: Process payroll submissions for 10+ local unions by accessing union portals to enter payroll information and ensure timely and accurate remittance of union payments according to deadlines and requirements.

Payroll Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and maintain payroll reports, entering data into tracking spreadsheets using Viewpoint, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs for analysis.

Compliance and Reporting: Stay updated on state and federal wage and hour laws to ensure payroll practices comply with regulations. Prepare various reports, including gross payroll, hours worked, and tax deductions, for management review.

GL Reconciliations: Perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations to ensure payroll transactions are accurately recorded and balanced.

Qualifications:

Experience in payroll, preferably in a unionized environment.

Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ideally Viewpoint) and procedures, including direct deposits and payroll tax payments.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
