Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
Location: Saline, Michigan
Full-Time Day Shift
Overview:
A respected, family-owned funeral home in Saline, Michigan is seeking a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer who is compassionate, service-driven, and dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for families in their time of need. This firm serves over 160 families annually and is deeply trusted within its growing, community-oriented townknown for its top-rated schools and quality of life.

What Youll Do:
Meet with families to arrange and direct funeral and memorial services.
Coordinate with internal staff, vendors, and government agencies to ensure seamless services.
Embalm, dress, cosmetize, and casket decedents with care and professionalism.
Prepare necessary documents for burial, cremation, and transport.
Assist with scheduling and setup for visitations and services.
Maintain professional and efficient use of funeral home systems (EDRS, phone, fax, A/V, etc.).
Make daytime removals; no nighttime removals required.
Drive and maintain funeral home vehicles.
Support the team with various operational needs as they arise.
What Were Looking For:
Requirements:
Degree in Mortuary Science from an accredited institution.
Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer in Michigan, or ability to reciprocate from another state.
5+ years of experience preferred (but open to the right team-oriented candidate).
Comfortable with Microsoft Office, printing, scanning, and basic tech tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, solve problems, and maintain attention to detail.
Able to lift 50 lbs and present a polished, professional appearance.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with DocuSign and social media platforms.
Background in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
