GENERAL SUMMARY:

This is an hourly position that reports to the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for full cycle inventory control, including receiving raw materials, requesting cycle counts, reviewing production and maintaining bill of materials.

SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION

Understand and follow all standards, food safety policies and procedures.

Assist Warehouse Manager with the daily inventory of all products.

Responsible for the review and evaluation of internal control relating to inventory and identify control weaknesses for corrective actions.

Coordinate cycle counts to include reconciliation and adjustment processing and report and analyze cycle-counting results.

Interface with the Purchasing Department to manage inventory control.

Investigate production problems, analyze root causes, and supply solutions from an inventory perspective.

Take inventory as required and provide clear indications of “out of stock” or “overstocked” conditions developing.

Manage the accuracy of the inventory and log number.

Document and maintain inventory control procedures.

Work with production, quality, receiving and purchasing to resolve issues and improve the day-to-day operation in the factory.

Review processed production records for accuracy and resolve any problems timely.

Review processed receipts for lot numbers, COA’s. and quantity received accuracy.

Notify quality manager regarding materials that are approaching the end of their shelf life.

Request cycle counts daily.

Schedule and run two physical inventories per year.

Create and maintain bills of materials with the assistance of the quality and purchasing managers.

Complete all necessary inventory control reports.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

High school Diploma or GED equivalent.

5+ years’ experience in an inventory-based ERP system, working in a production-based facility.

Proficiency with PC Operating systems, office support software, including MS Office, Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.

Highly organized, detail orientated, self-motivated and able to work with and for other managers.

Strong at analyzing data and researching to solve problems.

Effective communication and people skills are extremely important.

Excellent administrative judgment with the ability to multitask and coordinate tasks that support the staff.

Strong team-oriented personality that enjoys working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

Think strategically while acting tactically to meet goals.

Strong analytic and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Talent for introducing innovative administrative systems and programs.

Proficient in PC operating systems and office support software, including MS Office

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays.

DESIRED:

B.A/B.S. from a 4-year College or University.

Food Manufacturing Supervisory Role a plus
