Job Title: Swim Instructor

Location: The I'on Club, Mount Pleasant

Employment Type: Seasonal / Part-Time

Reports To: Aquatics Director / Club Manager

Job Summary:

The I'on Club is seeking a patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to provide high-quality swim lessons for children and adult swimmers. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching swim techniques, water safety, and stroke development in both private and group lesson settings. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for working with swimmers of all levels, and a commitment to creating a safe and fun learning environment.Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

Provide group and private swim lessons for children and adults of varying skill levels.

Develop lesson plans tailored to individual swimmers’ needs and abilities.

Teach water safety, basic strokes, and advanced swim techniques in a structured and engaging manner.

Offer positive reinforcement and constructive feedback to help swimmers improve confidence and skills.

Ensure a safe and controlled environment by enforcing pool safety rules and guidelines.

Communicate effectively with swimmers and parents about progress and lesson scheduling.

Assist with swim programs, clinics, and special aquatic events as needed.

Qualifications:

Prior experience teaching swim lessons to children and/or adults.

Strong knowledge of swim techniques, stroke mechanics, and water safety.

Lifeguard and CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain before the season starts).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt instruction style to suit different age groups and skill levels.

Friendly, professional, and patient demeanor.

Schedule & Compensation:

Flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Seasonal or part-time position, based on lesson demand.

Compensation based on experience and lesson type (private vs. group).
