Database Engineer

Our Columbus, OH location currently has an opportunity for a Data Engineer. The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure.

Title: Database Engineer

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 12 Months

100% Onsite

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems.

Implement and optimize data storage solutions.

Work with Databricks to manage and analyze large datasets.

Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.

Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements.

Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven work experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.

Strong experience with Databricks and SQL.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional Certification

Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI)

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
