Description
The Program Director is responsible for performing a wide variety of supervisory activities as directed by the COO, Operations Director, CEO and Board of Directors. The Program Director will maintain and monitor program execution at the site while also acting as a liaison for the Executive Directors and Staff. The Program Director will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and incident reporting procedures. He/she will oversee and monitor all program logs and documentation. This individual will participate in the interviewing of all prospective applicants for employment and ensuring the staffing roster has an adequate number of funded positions to meet the staffing requirements for the program and services. He/she will be responsible for sufficient number of staff to be on duty and available at all times to provide necessary and adequate safety and care. This individual will provide/coordinate orientation to program and training for new staff. He/she is responsible for all performance evaluations, counseling and disciplinary actions of staff excluding marketing staff. The Program Director will be expected to maintain and model, at all times, appropriate behavior and interactions for staff and clients. The Program Director will coordinate all mandatory staff meetings and provide monthly individual supervision for required staff. The Program Director will update administration and staff of any relevant issues and/or tasks as needed. He/she is responsible for completing the employee schedule on a weekly basis and processing timesheets for payroll every other week. The Program Director in conjunction with the COO, and Operations Director is responsible for coordinating all outings and activities for clients when appropriate. He/she will supervise center and alarm maintenance. Program Director will be responsible for ongoing process improvement recommendations. All programmatic changes need to be communicated to and approved by the Operations Director, CEO, and Board of Directors prior to implementation. The principal functions of the position identified shall not be considered as a complete description of all the work requirements and expectations that may be inherent in the position.
POSITION’S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains communication with staff and observes staff to monitor program strengths and weaknesses
Knowledge of Developmental Disabilities and reporting procedures in their local Counties.
Sufficient knowledge and experience to administer effective and ongoing operations of the Developmental Disabilities services.
Responsible for the overall operation of PALS Developmental Disabilities Services
Skill in providing supervision
Must have a current and valid Driver’s License
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited university with a minimum of a Bachelors Degree, and with at least four years experience in working with persons with Developmental Disabilities. Must have knowledge of the principles and practices of the discipline
Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written skills
Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals
Must have appropriate experience and administrative capabilities
Maintains current annual training requirements
Must successfully complete all criminal background screens annually
