PGS Worldwide is seeking Sheet Metal Assemblers to support aerospace production operations in a high-tech, hands-on environment. This role will help build critical subassemblies and canopy structures for advanced military aircraft. You'll train on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift with a shift differential bonus. Key Responsibilities:
Perform assembly and refurbishing of aerospace sheet metal components such as canopies and substructures using build-to-print drawings and controlled tooling.
Align parts using jigs, fixtures, templates, and precise measurement tools.
Conduct part-fitting operations including drilling, reaming, countersinking, riveting, burring, trimming, and cold working.
Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering diagrams, shop orders, and technical data.
Perform quality checks and inspections to verify specifications are met.
Modify or repair components as needed based on design changes or test results.
Use hand tools, air tools, and measurement instruments accurately.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
1–2 years of hands-on experience with sheet metal, assembly, or mechanical repair (aerospace experience not required)
Basic understanding of blueprints and specifications
Mathematical ability to understand measurements and tolerances
Computer literacy for entering work data and following instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with aircraft structures or metal assembly
Familiarity with F-16, F-35, or C-130 structures is a strong plus
Experience working with riveting, fitting, and forming aircraft-grade metals
Prior work in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing environments
