The Role:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to lead and enhance our end-to-end supply and demand planning processes. Reporting to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will serve as a key cross-functional partner, aligning demand forecasting, inventory planning, and supply chain strategies to support operational efficiency, improve forecast accuracy, and ensure customer satisfaction.
This position will be instrumental in driving alignment between Sales, Marketing, Production, Finance, and Supply Chain functions through a structured S&OP process. The Director will also play a critical role in developing a scalable transition planning process to support product changes and new initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and lead the company's Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring integration of demand forecasts, supply plans, and financial targets.
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to develop accurate SKU-level demand forecasts that reflect baseline trends, promotions, seasonal patterns, and new product introductions.
Work closely with the Supply Planning team to balance supply and demand, mitigate risks, and maintain optimal inventory levels across the organization.
Guide the weekly and S&OP cadence, driving alignment across departments and supporting effective decision-making on risks, constraints, and priorities.
Develop tools and reporting to monitor forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory health. Analyze performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Procurement to ensure planning assumptions are consistent and decisions are well-informed.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability by identifying process gaps and driving corrective actions.
Qualifications:
10+ years in supply chain, demand planning, or S&OP roles, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership capacity. Food, beverage, or CPG industry experience strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA and/or APICS, CPIM, CSCP certifications are a plus.
Experience with ERP and demand planning systems is required. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) are highly preferred.
Proven ability to manage perishable supply chains, seasonal demand swings, and regulatory compliance.
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of implementing and improving S&OP processes, with a focus on driving measurable results.
