Machinist

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate equipment such as Press Brake, Shear, Ironworker, Band Saw, Drill Press, Turning Lathe, and Horizontal Mill to produce standard and custom parts based on drawings and schedules.

Perform routine machine maintenance and adjustments, monitor machine capacity, and ensure safe operation at all times.

Lay out materials for optimal use, organize drop materials, and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

Follow all safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Day Shift

Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:00pm; Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm

Qualifications

Ability to read 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32" gradations

Understand conversion of inches/decimals (using conversion chart)

Ability to read blueprints

Understanding of how to use dial caliper and veneer

Understanding of dimensions and sizing of common structural steel
