You'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of aviation repair and maintenance through training and preparation.

What you'll do: * Machine products to tight tolerances * Reads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performed * Verifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers * Computes dimensions and tolerances and measures and lays out work pieces * Adjusts and sets up machine tools for use by machining tool operators * Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements * Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality * Compute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy * Observing all applicable safety practices * Carries out other duties as assigned Requirements: * 3 years - 5 years experience in Machinist * Previous or current knowledge and experience with manual machine tools operations * Experienced with operating lathes or mills and using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers) * Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical drawings * Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools * Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance * Ability to stand for extended periods of time Preferred: * Preferred CNC or Manual Machinist Certification * VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) experience * High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision Benefits that make life better: * Comprehensive Healthcare * 401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vested * Paid Time Off starting on day one * Bonus opportunities * Health- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts * Short- & Long-Term Disability * Life & AD&D Insurance * Learning & Training opportunities Raising the Standard of Excellence since 1911 With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
