We are seeking experienced candidates with a passion for providing excellent Member service for the position of Assistant Branch Manager, Washington, DC.

This role is responsible for assisting the Branch Manager with the day-to-day management and business development of the DC branches. This includes but is not limited to coaching and training branch staff, ensuring consistent excellent Member service, and identifying business development opportunities in the branch’s local market.

Key Job Functions:

Responsible for resolving Member issues or concerns and ensuring the branch is operating in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Ensures the efficient operation of the branch office(s) in the absence of the Branch Manager.

Provides timely and effective communication with team members to ensure they are informed about the credit union’s strategic goals, objectives, and direction.

Supports the credit union’s Membership and asset growth by participating in sales campaigns, business development, and community outreach.

Required Skills and Experience:

Three to five years of similar or related experience. Prior experience in a financial institution is a plus.

Minimum of one year of prior supervisory experience preferred.

A two-year college degree, or completion of specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training conducted by vendors. Experience as a substitution for a degree may be considered.

Must be able to secure and maintain multiple clearances to gain access to various branches.

Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs., as needed, and requires extended periods of sitting and/or standing and to be able to use PC, copier, scanner, fax, etc.
