Do you have what it takes to be a Coding Specialist at HSO:

Current CPC-A with some healthcare billing or clinical experience, or have 2+ years of previous healthcare billing experience and willing to become certified within 90 days

High school diploma is required

A day in the life of an HSO Coding Specialist:

Code claims directly from the clinician's chart documentation or operative report, with oversight from a senior coder.

Review and update encounters with claim edits and work RCx reports.

Ensure that clinician documentation conforms to legal and procedural requirements.

Assist with research for denied claims.

Translate patient information into the current alphanumeric medical code.

Handle information about patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures to ensure proper coding.
